Fixing Founder Dependency.
Helping the business make more decisions without sending everything back to the founder.
The problem
The founder had become the default route for too many decisions, approvals and escalations. That gave the business speed when it was small, but increasingly created bottlenecks. Teams waited for answers, managers lacked clear authority, and the founder remained involved in work that no longer required founder-level judgement.
What I did
I identified where decisions were getting stuck and why. I separated decisions that genuinely required founder involvement from those that could be delegated, clarified decision rights and ownership, improved the information managers needed to act confidently, and redesigned escalation so exceptions still reached leadership quickly.
What changed
More decisions could happen at the right level while the founder retained visibility over the things that genuinely mattered.
