Simplifying a Fragmented Technology Stack.

Using fewer systems more deliberately instead of adding another tool to solve every problem.

The problem

Years of individual software decisions had created a stack with overlapping functionality, disconnected data and manual work between systems. Teams had adapted around the tools, but the business was paying for duplication while still struggling with reporting, handoffs and data quality.

What I did

I mapped the technology against the underlying business workflows first. I identified duplicated capability, unnecessary handoffs, systems that should become authoritative sources of data, and processes that could be consolidated or automated. The future-state stack was designed around the operating model rather than around vendor categories.

What changed

Technology became simpler, ownership became clearer, and information could move through the business with fewer workarounds.
