Preparing a Business Operationally for Investment.
Making sure the company underneath the pitch could support the growth story being sold to investors.
The problem
The fundraising narrative described a much larger business, but the operating plan had not yet caught up. Hiring assumptions, milestones, governance, commercial capacity, delivery requirements and financial dependencies needed to connect clearly to the capital being raised.
What I did
I worked backwards from the investment story into execution. I aligned growth assumptions with hiring and capability requirements, structured milestones and use of funds, clarified operational dependencies, strengthened governance and reporting, and identified what the business would need to prove between funding events.
What changed
The investment proposition was supported by a more credible plan for how the company would actually use capital and execute the next stage.
